FAQ

Questions we hear most often

Our minimum order is 50 pieces per design. If you're a business and want to validate your design first, our Proof Pack lets you order 5 production samples with a photo proof — $30 for woven labels or $40 for custom patches — then reorder at any quantity in one click.
Yes — the Woven Labels Uploader accepts PNG, JPEG, SVG, PDF, PSD, and AI files. 300 DPI or higher gives the sharpest result, but it's not a hard requirement — lower resolution files will still work. We also run a free artwork check before production, so if anything needs adjusting we'll let you know.
Yes — our tool calculates your price in real time as you configure your label. What you see is what you pay, instantly.
Upload Woven Labels is for when you already have a logo or artwork file — you upload it (PNG, JPEG, SVG, PDF, PSD, or AI) and we weave it into thread exactly as designed. Design Woven Labels is our online builder: you create your label from scratch directly in the browser using text, fonts, and symbols — no artwork file needed. Both produce the same high-quality woven label.
Yes. All our woven labels are colorfast and rated for 60°C machine wash. They're designed to last the lifetime of the garment.
Production takes 8–10 business days from artwork clearance. If you add a photo proof to your order, allow an additional 2–4 business days — we photograph your label and send you an image for approval before dispatch. Shipping is calculated at checkout based on your destination.
Woven labels are thin, flexible, and sewn directly into a garment — typically at the neck, hem, or side seam. Woven patches are thicker, structurally independent, and designed to be attached on top of a garment — sewn on, ironed on, or velcro-backed. Patches can also be custom-shaped with a Merrow border or laser-cut edge, making them more of a visual statement than a label.
Yes. Our woven patches support fully custom shapes — you are not limited to rectangles. Edges can be finished with a Merrow border (a classic stitched edge) or laser-cut for a clean, sharp outline. Custom shapes are great for logos, emblems, and brand badges.
Both woven labels and woven patches can be ordered with an iron-on heat-seal backing as an alternative to sewing. Iron-on is convenient for quick application but we always recommend a few anchor stitches around the edges for items that will be washed frequently.

Building a hang tag in the browser

Designing a tag online removes the print-setup step — bleed, trim and safe margins are handled for you. What still needs judgement is hierarchy: deciding what a customer reads first, second and not at all.

One thing should dominate

Usually the brand mark. A tag that gives equal weight to logo, tagline, price and care summary reads as a list rather than a piece of branding. Decide the single element a customer should register at a glance, then size everything else beneath it.

Put transactional detail on the back

Price, size, barcode, SKU and composition belong on the reverse, where they can be scanned or checked without competing with the front. It also means a price change or a new size run only affects one side of the artwork.

A QR code needs quiet space and contrast

Scanners need a clear margin around the code and strong contrast against its background. Placing one over a photograph or a mid-tone panel is the usual reason a tag will not scan at the till. Test the printed proof with a phone before committing to a full run.

Choose the cord as part of the design

Cord color reads as part of the tag at rail distance, and it is chosen at order time rather than in the artwork. Natural cotton suits kraft and uncoated stock; black or white cord suits high-contrast, more graphic designs. Deciding it late means the finished tag can look assembled rather than designed.
