Questions we hear most often

Our minimum order is 50 pieces per design. If you're a business and want to validate your design first, our Proof Pack lets you order 5 production samples with a photo proof — $30 for woven labels or $40 for custom patches — then reorder at any quantity in one click.
Yes — the Woven Labels Uploader accepts PNG, JPEG, SVG, PDF, PSD, and AI files. 300 DPI or higher gives the sharpest result, but it's not a hard requirement — lower resolution files will still work. We also run a free artwork check before production, so if anything needs adjusting we'll let you know.
Yes — our tool calculates your price in real time as you configure your label. What you see is what you pay, instantly.
Upload Woven Labels is for when you already have a logo or artwork file — you upload it (PNG, JPEG, SVG, PDF, PSD, or AI) and we weave it into thread exactly as designed. Design Woven Labels is our online builder: you create your label from scratch directly in the browser using text, fonts, and symbols — no artwork file needed. Both produce the same high-quality woven label.
Yes. All our woven labels are colorfast and rated for 60°C machine wash. They're designed to last the lifetime of the garment.
Production takes 8–10 business days from artwork clearance. If you add a photo proof to your order, allow an additional 2–4 business days — we photograph your label and send you an image for approval before dispatch. Shipping is calculated at checkout based on your destination.
Woven labels are thin, flexible, and sewn directly into a garment — typically at the neck, hem, or side seam. Woven patches are thicker, structurally independent, and designed to be attached on top of a garment — sewn on, ironed on, or velcro-backed. Patches can also be custom-shaped with a Merrow border or laser-cut edge, making them more of a visual statement than a label.
Yes. Our woven patches support fully custom shapes — you are not limited to rectangles. Edges can be finished with a Merrow border (a classic stitched edge) or laser-cut for a clean, sharp outline. Custom shapes are great for logos, emblems, and brand badges.
Both woven labels and woven patches can be ordered with an iron-on heat-seal backing as an alternative to sewing. Iron-on is convenient for quick application but we always recommend a few anchor stitches around the edges for items that will be washed frequently.

Preparing artwork for a woven label

A woven label is built from thread on a Jacquard loom, not printed. That changes what artwork survives the process — a file that looks sharp on screen can lose its finest detail once every line has to be represented by physical warp and weft.

Vector beats raster, every time

SVG, AI, EPS and PDF give clean edges at any size because the loom is driven from the outline. A 72 dpi PNG lifted from a website will be soft at label scale. If raster is all you have, supply the largest original you can find rather than an upscaled copy — upscaling invents detail the weave then tries to reproduce.

Line thickness is a physical limit

Anything under roughly 0.5 mm at final size cannot be woven reliably — there simply are not enough threads across it. Hairline serifs, thin rules and outlined text are the usual casualties. Thicken strokes or increase the label size; the free artwork review catches this before production, but designing for it saves a round trip.

Color count is a design decision, not a cost driver

Up to twelve thread colors are available, and unlike screen printing the count barely moves the price — setup is per design, not per color. What it does affect is legibility: gradients and photographic shading do not weave, so convert them to flat, deliberate color separations before uploading.

Choose the fold before you finalise the size

Fold type changes the visible area. A center-fold label shows half its woven width; an end-fold loses a few millimeters to each turned edge. Set the fold first, then size the artwork to what remains visible, or the design will be technically correct and still look cramped on the garment.
