Choose the right custom patch type
Logo patches

Hat patches

Iron-on patches

Uniform patches

Why woven patches work for detailed artwork
Small type stays cleaner
Embroidery uses larger raised stitches, so letters fill in quickly. Woven patches are made on a loom, giving the artwork more thread-level resolution. That matters for badges with type, thin outlines, and compact logos.
Any shape is possible
Simple round and shield patches can use a raised Merrow border. Complex artwork, mascot outlines, and script marks usually need a hot-cut edge that follows the artwork precisely.
Color count is not the cost driver
Most custom patches use two to six thread colors, but up to twelve are available. The bigger cost drivers are size, quantity, edge finish, and backing.
