Vector formats (SVG, AI) produce the sharpest woven result. 300 DPI or higher is recommended for raster files, but lower resolution files will still work — our team will flag anything that may affect quality.

Do I get a proof before production starts?

Our team reviews every artwork file within 48 hours of your order. If we spot anything that needs attention — a resolution issue, a design element that won't translate cleanly — we reach out before production begins. You can also add a photo proof to your order: we photograph your actual label before dispatch so you can approve it or request adjustments.

How does a photo proof work?

A photo proof is a photo of your produced label — we send it to you so you can see the real result before your order moves on. If there's a factory defect (something that doesn't match your approved artwork or spec), we reproduce it for free; just tell us what's wrong. If instead you'd like to change something that wasn't a defect — a different size, colours, folds, or other options — we can redo it too, and a $20 reproduction fee may apply for changes like these. Either way, any reproduction adds about 7 days to your production time, so please review your proof and reply as soon as you can — keep an eye on your inbox and spam folder.

What is the minimum readable line thickness?

What is sewing allowance and do I need to account for it?

Sewing allowance is the extra fabric along the edge of a label that gets hidden inside a seam when the label is sewn in. You don't need to calculate it yourself — enable sewing allowance (or an edge fold) on the edges you need in the configurator, and a fixed 6 mm per selected edge is added to the label size automatically. For center fold labels, keep in mind the visible width after folding is half the flat width.

High contrast combinations produce the sharpest result — dark background with light thread, or light background with dark thread. Let it cool fully before handling — the bond sets as it cools, not while hot. For best durability, add a few anchor stitches around the edges — especially for garments that will be washed frequently.

Orders involving clearly infringing designs may be cancelled at our discretion.

What happens if a rights holder claims my design is infringing?
