Unlike screen printing or heat transfer, where ink sits on top of the fabric and eventually fades, cracks, or peels, woven labels are made from thread.

Sew-on labels are stitched into a garment seam — the most permanent and durable method, recommended for all production clothing. Iron-on labels use a heat-activated adhesive that bonds without sewing, which is convenient for prototypes or non-washed items.
