What Custom Clothing Labels Cost in 2026
Almost every supplier in this industry hides pricing behind a quote request, which makes it genuinely hard for a new brand to budget. So here are our actual numbers — 52 per-unit price points across woven labels, patches, care labels and hang tags, from 50 pieces to 5,000.

The headline: unit cost falls about 90% between 50 and 5,000 pieces
Setup dominates at low volume
A 50 × 20 mm woven label is $1.22 per unit at 50 pieces and $0.108 at 5,000 — a 91% drop. That is not a bulk discount in the retail sense. The loom has to be warped and threaded for your design regardless of run length, so at 50 pieces you absorb that setup across 50 units.
The curve flattens around 1,000
Most of the saving is already banked by 500–1,000 pieces. Going from 50 to 500 cuts the unit price by roughly 75%; going from 1,000 to 2,500 saves about 40% more. If you are choosing an order size, the meaningful decision is 50 versus 500 — not 2,500 versus 5,000.
Color count barely matters
Six thread colors instead of two costs about 16% more per unit at 1,000 pieces ($0.283 vs $0.245). Color is loaded at setup, not applied per pass — the opposite of screen printing, where every color is another screen. Designing in two colors to save money is usually a false economy.
Printed is roughly half the price of woven
At 1,000 pieces a printed satin care label is $0.119 against $0.245 for a woven label of similar size. Printing onto ribbon is fast with low setup; weaving builds the image from thread. You are paying for durability and appearance, not for the label itself.

Method, and what these numbers are not
Where the figures come from
Each is produced by the pricing engine behind the configurators on this site — the same code path that gives a customer their price. Nothing is rounded for presentation and nothing is estimated.
Why some cells say "quote"
Above a certain quantity each product leaves the self-serve tier and is priced on request. Rather than extrapolate the last tier — which would understate the real figure — those cells are marked. A blank is more honest than a guess.
What is excluded
Shipping, duties and taxes. US orders ship domestically from Salt Lake City, so US buyers pay no import fees; international buyers should add their own. Artwork review, digital proofs and stored artwork for reorders are included at no charge.
One supplier, not the market
This is Peach Labels' pricing. It is published because the alternative — an industry where nobody publishes anything — is worse for buyers. Compare it against your own quotes rather than treating it as a benchmark.
