Why Custom Patches Have a Minimum at All
A woven patch is made on a Jacquard loom. Before the first patch, your artwork is turned into a weave file and the loom is threaded with your colors. That work is the same for 50 patches as for 5,000, so on a small run it is most of what you pay for. It is also why the price per patch drops so quickly: $1.56 each at 50, $0.608 at 250 and $0.428 at 500 for a 2″ patch.
50, 100 or 250? How to Choose
- Testing a design or a new product: a Proof Pack, then a run once the patch looks right on the garment.
- A single drop, event or team: order what you need, from 50. Leftovers of a 50-piece run cost more per patch than the saving from a smaller order.
- A design you will keep selling: 250 or more. The per-patch price at 250 is well under half the price at 50, and the artwork is stored, so a reorder is one click and matches the first batch.
